We are excited to announce the relocation of our ELS Deland Center from Stetson University's main campus to their Stetson University Extension campus in the Orlando, Florida area. At this new location, students will continue to enjoy the safety and charm of a small town, while remaining only minutes from downtown Orlando and the excitement of the Disney® theme parks. They will also maintain the benefits from ELS’ special relationship with Stetson University. The first session is scheduled for January 5, 2009 (a “Schedule A” start date).
ELS Orlando Location
ELS Orlando is located in the Stetson University Center building, in the town of Celebration, Florida, a suburb of Orlando. Celebration is in the heart of Orlando’s attractions area - just 20 minutes by bus or car to downtown Orlando and even closer to Orlando’s theme parks, such as Disney World®, Universal Studios®, Animal Kingdom®, and Sea World®. Stetson University Center is within walking-distance of the Celebration town center with its lake, numerous shops, boutiques, movie theater and restaurants.

The Ramada Orlando Celebration Resort is located on 77 tropically landscaped acres just 2.4 kilometers from the Walt Disney World® Resort.

Although no meals are included in the price, students may purchase meals at many nearby restaurants and shops. They also receive a 25% discount at the hotel restaurant.

미국 플로리다 주 중부 오렌지 군의 군청소재지(1856)이며 시. 1844년 미국 육군 주둔지였던 개틀린 요새를 중심으로 정착이 시작되었습니다. 처음에는 저니건이라고 불리던 이곳은 1857년 세미놀 전쟁중에 죽은 육군보초병 올랜도 리브스를 추모하여 개칭되었습니다. 1880년에 사우스플로리다 철도가 들어섰으며, 1883년에는 탬파(남서쪽 160㎞)까지 연장되었습니다.
1950년 이후 108㎞ 동쪽에 케이프커내버럴 항공우주산업단지가 건설되고, 1971년 월트 디즈니 월드(남쪽으로 23㎞ 떨어져 있는 면적 1만 1,000㏊의 오락휴양단지)가 설립됨으로써 인구가 증가하고 경제적으로 큰 발전을 이루었습니다. 상업ㆍ유통업ㆍ제조업(특히 우주ㆍ전자 장비), 감귤류ㆍ겨울채소 재배업, 관광업 등이 주요경제활동입니다.
올랜도 해군훈련소를 포함해 여러 정부기관들이 있습니다. 교육기관으로는 올랜도 존스대학, 플로리다공과대학교(1968), 발렌시아지역사회대학(1967) 등이 있습니다. 1875년에 시가 되었습니다. 인구：시 164,693(1990), 대도시권 1,072,748(1990). |
